ENAV
ENAV constantly ensures the Air Traffic Control service and other essential navigation assistance services, through various types of structures that manage all phases of the flight of an aircraft: Airport Control, Approach Control and Route Control. In conducting a yes done service, ENAV must guarantee high levels of safety, efficiency and regularity.
CODIN proposes, for ENAV, as a supplier of qualified competence gained in the sector by offering IT solutions and consultancy for the needs of:
- proactive control of the safety infrastructures, through the monitoring and supervision of the devices that provide protection (security) to the operating sites and ENAV personnel and of the systems / devices that perform the functions for air traffic control (safety of the ATC systems );
- prevention and effective management of security incidents;
- government and security management by providing specific services and data relating to the performance and behavior of security systems.
Integrated System for Safety of Air Traffic Control Infrastructure for ENAV
The security of the infrastructures and sites responsible for air traffic control requires the adoption of special measures that ensure their protection against malicious or accidental events (security). In the same way, protection from ATC (safety) systems and equipment failures is particularly critical. In this context, CODIN has provided consultancy for the definition of a model of IT and architectural ICT solution called SSC (Supervision and Control System), which integrates information from ATC infrastructures and systems and from equipment and control devices for physical security. The activities carried out resulted in the definition of an organizational and technological model and the identification, starting from the standards in use (such as COBIT 4), of a catalog of services that can be implemented in the long term.
Privacy risk analysis for ENAV
Legislative Decree 196/2003 has defined principles and rules to ensure respect for privacy, that is, to treat and store personal data and "sensitive" data contained in archives and information systems with criteria of confidentiality, integrity and availability. Read summary Risk analysis plays an important role in the process of achieving and maintaining compliance, allows to identify the main events potentially harmful to data security and prevents possible consequences or limits their severity. CODIN, thanks to its particular experience in Risk Management and Privacy, has put into practice an assessment and analysis methodology that uses qualitative / quantitative methods that provide numerical enhancements and ensure the possibility of repetitiveness and comparison of measurements. The Analysis leads to assess the gap between the results obtained and the expected or predefined results as "targets" and provides general indications, intervention recommendations and timelines for planning countermeasures.
